تعتبر ظاهرة النبوة فى تاريخ الاديان من الظواهر الجديرة بالدراسة فالنبى ليس شخصا عاديا فهو وان كان بشرا فانة ايضا متبع بل ممثل لمنهج الهى وفوق ذلك هو فى الاسلام قدوة واسوة حسنة جديرة بالتأسي، وبان يكون مثلا اعلى لمن اراد خيرى الدنيا والدين . هذه المعانى الجليلة التى يفترض أن يتصف بها الانبياء قد تحققت بشكل واضح واكل فى القران الكريم ، فهل كانت صورة الانبياء على نفس المستوى فى التوراة مثلا ؟ هذا ما سنحاول ان نجيب عنه هذه الدراسة : ومن ثم سنستعمل المنهج الوصفى المقارن ، ونتخير بعضا من الأنبياء لبيان صفاتهم عند المسلمين من جهة واليهود والنصارى من جهة أخرى مع الأخذ فى الاعتبار أن الاسلام أنبياء ثبتت نبوتهم بينما هم ليسوا أنبياء لدى أهل الكتاب .
