هذا الكتاب فى جزئيه الأول والثانى يعتبر محاولة من المؤلف لتقديم مرجعاً للمكتبة العربية فى مجال الإحصاء الرياضى لندرة المراجع العربية فى هذه المجال.
واختص الكتاب فى الجزء الأول بموضوعات نظرية الإحتمالات والمتغيرات العشوائية ودوال كثافات الإحتمال ودوال التوزيع الإحتمالى ومقاييس النزعة المركزية (التوقع والتباين والعزوم) كأدلة توصيف للمجتمعات الإحصائية سواء للمتغيرات العشوائية المفردة أو المتعددة وكذلك الدوال المولدة للاحتمالات والعزوم وتوزيعات دوال فىمتغيرات عشوائية.
وفى الجزء الثانى من هذا الكتاب تناولنا بعض التوزيعات الاحتمالية الخاصة المتقطعة والمتصلة لبعض المتغيرات العشوائية المفردة والمتعددة، وقد أفردنا باباً كاملاً للتووزيع المعتاد هو الباب التاسع لأهمية هذا التوزيع، وتناولنا بالدراسة بعض المتتابعات فى متغيرات عشوائية حيث قدمنا مفاهيم التقارب فى الأحتمال والتقارب بإحتمال واحد صحيح والتقارب فى التوزيع، واختتمنا هذه الدراسة بتقديم بعض التوزيعات الاحتمالية (المضبوطة والتقابية) لبعض الإحصاءات الهامة.
ويعتبر هذا الكتاب محاولة لتبسيط دراسة وتفهم موضوعات الإحصاء االرياضى للدارسين باللغة العربية نظراً لندرة عمل ذلك فى المراجع العربية السابقة، كما أنه يعتبر مقدمة جيدة لتقديم مؤلف عربى مماثل فىموضوعات الاستدلال الرياضى، وهذا ما يقوم بإعداده المؤلف فى الوقت الحالى بفضل الله.
