هذا الكتاب زاخر بالحديث عن النفاق وأنواعه، والمنافقين وصفاتهم التي بلي الناس بها وهي تقع تحت المعنى العام للنفاق: «يخفون من ذميم الصفات ما لا يبدون من الكلام الجميل والمدح المبالغ»، فهم كما وصفهم الله تعالى: ﴿يخادعون الله والذين آمنوا ومايخدعون إلا أنفسهم ومايشعرون * في قلوبهم مرض فزادهم الله مرضاً﴾. وقد استعرض الكاتب في سلاسة الأسلوب ووضوح العبارة أبرزَ صفات المنافقين، من الرياء والغدر وإيذاء الناس والحقد والضغينة والحسد والكذب وتتبع العورات والخيانة، ثم ذكر صوراً لهم من التاريخ كالإسخريوطي وبروتس وابن العلقمي... ثم تطرق إلى خطورة النفاق الذي يتصف به المنافقون، وكيفية شفائهم من نفاقهم، وهي أبحاث حسنة... وقد أضاف أبحاثاً رأى ضرورة ذكرها لما لها من علاقة بالنفاق كالغيبة والنميمة والشائعة... وقد أحسن الكاتب حين وضح كثيراً من صفات المنافق العصري... سماحة الدكتور الشيخ عبد العزيز الخياط
