والعيش والعمل في إطار بيئة إتصال، سواء بين الأفراد أو المؤسسات، مهم جداً لإرساء دعائم الأشياء الصحيحة، وحينها فقط يزدهر البشر ويحققون الأفضل بالنسبة لأنفسهم.
فالإتصال بين أفراد المجتمع والمجموعات الإجتماعية المختلفة ضروري لتحقيق متطلبات الإجتماع الإنساني، وهو شرط من شروط بقاء الكائن البشري كما تقول المنظمة العربية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم ولأن الإنسان احتاج منذ تواجده على وجه الأرض أن يتصل بغيره من البشر، ليتم له إشباع حاجاته المختلفة.
وقد أثبتت العديد من الدراسات التي أجريت حول العالم أثناء العقود الأخيرة أهمية الدور الذي يلعبه "عامل التواصل" الإنساني في منح الشعور بالدعم والإهتمام والتقدير بين أفراد المجتمع.
فالعمل ضمن أجواء تتسم بالتراحم يقلل بشدة من أخطار اليأس والفشل، ولا نندهش إن قلنا حتى بعض الأمراض النفسية والعضوية الأخرى التي تهدد حياة الإنسان.
