هذا الكتاب هو مجرد نافذة صغيرة وأطروحة مختصرة لقضية شائكة ومتكررة ألا وهى قضية ( علاقة الرجل بالمرأة ) وما سبقها من كتابات اختصت بـ " تحرير المرأة " أو مناقشة وضعيتها فى المجتمع العربى و الشرقى والمجتمع العالمى أيضا .. ولأن " تحرير الرجل " هو عنوان الكتاب وهدف القلم ( وصاحبته ) فالموضوع يتناول " تحير الرجل " من مجموعة الأفكار البالية والعقيمة والسقيمة التى عاش فى أسرها عصورا وقرونا ولم يتخلص من ثارها السلبية بادخله وهى افكار ( بعضها ) يدخل فى دائرة الموروث الثقافى و ( الآخر ) مكتسب من عادات وتقاليد وجزء ليس بالقيل ينتمى الى العقائد الدينية المتطرفة والتى تستوجب من الجميع إعادة قراءة الخطاب الدينى للمرأة فى مجتمعاتنا الشرقية من منظور جديد ليس بدعوى الحرية المغرضة أو التقليد الأعمى للنماذج الغربية ولكن هى قراءة متانية ومتحسسة للعواقب والتداعيات . فكرة " تحرير الرجل " هى فكرة إنسان نسائية معرضة وايضا متأنية لأن الرجل الشرقى ةالمصرى قد قضى عمره فى صراعات وهمية مع المرأة باعتبارها الجنس الأضعف جسديا والقل عقليا وكثيرا ما نرى رجالا يسفهون آراء المرأة ويسيئون تفسير حديث نقصان العقل والدين فيوسعون ضيقا ويضيفون واسعا وهذا النقص فى العقل مرده الى أن العاطفة أشد توهجا وهى تجعلها تتحمل شهورا وليالى من حمل ورضاعة وساعات لوضع وفطام وفى كل هذا فهى المحبة المعطاءة للحياة والوجود أما نقصان الدين فهم فرية يراد بها باطل لأن الدينى حقوق وواجيات وعبادات والخطاب الدينى دائما موجه للمرأة والرجل فى مساواة حقيقية فيما يختص بالثواب والعقاب وايضا فيما يتعلق بالايمان وأركانه والعبادات تتساوى ولكن مواقيتها تختلف باختلاف طبيعة تكوين المرأة البيولوجى وهى ليست مسئولية عن نوعها وقدرها ومن ثم فليس هناك نقصان ولا تقليل وهذا ما يحاول الكتاب طرحه من خلال علاقة المرأة بالخطاب الدينى .
