بين طيات هذا الكتاب مقالات وأبحاث، كتبها "أحمد إسماعيل السبع" في فترات مختلفة، ونشر أكثرها في بعض الصحف والمجلات. ولم يكن هدفه من كتابتها التعليم، ولا الوعظ والإرشاد، ولا بيان عظمة الإسلام، ولا الدفاع عن الإسلام؛ وإنما كان قصده من ذلك شرح بعض المفاهيم الإسلامية، التي طرأ عليها كثير من التشويه، الذي أدخل في أذهان المسلمين، بفعل ما نشر الأجنبي بالغزو الثقافي في آراءه وأفكار في كتب ورسائل. وكان قصده أيضاً لفت نظر المسلمين إلى أن من واجبهم ومن مصلحتهم استئناف الحياة الإسلامية، وإيجاد المجتمع الإسلامي، الذي تطبق فيه شريعة الإسلام، ليعيدوا العزة والكرامة لأمتهم، وليعودوا إلى السيادة في الأرض بالحق، وليكونوا خلفاء أجدادهم في تطبيق الحق والعدل في الدنيا، وفي نشر الطمأنينة والاستقرار في العالم.
إن ما يميز هذه الطبعة عن سابقاتها، أنها تتناول المفاهيم والمسائل والأحكام مقرونة بالأدلة الشرعية المستمدة من صريح الكتاب وصحيح السنة، مع ذكر أرقام الآيات القرنية وأسماء السور، وإسناد الأحاديث النبوية إلى رواتها ومخرجيها، إضافة إلى أن هذه الطبعة تتضمن مواضيع جديدة. ومن أبرز الموضوعات التي تحدث عنها المؤلف في كتابه نذكر: العقيدة والإيمان، تفسير القرآن الكريم بمجرد الرأي، الأعياد في الإسلام، الغاية لا تبرر الواسطة في الإسلام، حقوق الإنسان في شريعة الإسلام، حقوق خدم البيوت وواجباتهم، النظام الاقتصادي في الإسلام، النظام التجاري في الإسلام، نظام العقوبات في الإسلام، كيف يعالج الإسلام الغلاء ويمنع الاحتكار والرشوة، والفقر..، اجتناب التدخين، اجتناب الخمر والمخدرات..، الصلاة في المسجد، الخاشعون، خطبة الجمعة، صلاة الجمعة..، حقوق المرأة في الإسلام، واجبات المرأة لزوجهان الزواج، زواج المسلمين في الأجنبيات، تحديد عدد الزوجات إلى غير ذلك من الموضوعات الهامة التي تتصل بالأسرة المسلمة، والمسلمون في المسجد وواجبات المسلمين...
