ما معنى أن أكون إنساناً متديناً؟... هل معناه أن أكون كارهاً للدنيا نابذاً للحياة لاعناً للمتع محتقراً للجسد متشبعاً بثقافة الموت والكآبة؟...
هل معناه ان أنكر طبيعتي البشرية وأتنكر لفطرتي الميالة إلى البهجة والحب والجمال؟... هل معناه أن أشعر بالذنب في كل أحوالي طالما أن العين تزني، واليد تزني، والخيال يزني، فأتجرّع مرارة تأثيم النفس إلى حدود الإكتئاب أو الوسواس القهري؟...
عندما تملي علينا تصوّراتنا الدينية واجبات ضد طبيعتنا الإنسانية، وضدّ غرائزنا ومشاعرنا وحواسنا وميولنا، اي ضدّ الفطرة التي فطرنا الله تعالى عليها، فإنّنا ندفع بأنفسنا إلى أحد الخيارين: إما ممارسة النفاق الإجتماعي بحيث نعيش حقيقتنا في الخفاء؛ أو أننا نطوّع أنفسنا فنشلّ عقلنا ونشوّه طبيعتنا ونخرّب فطرتنا.
ونتساءل، ما الذي يطلبه منّا الخطاب الديني الشائع في مساجدنا ومدارسنا ومجالسنا وعلى فضائياتنا؟ إنه يطلب منا أن نمتثل لأوامر ونواهٍ هي ضدّ الطبيعة البشرية، أي ضد الفطرة الإنسانية: منع الإختلاط، غض البصر، كراهة الدنيا، حب الموت، تحريم الموسيقى، قمع طاقة الحب، شيطنة الأنا، إجتناب الإبداع، تعطيل العقل، إلخ.
هل يمكن للإنسان أن يمتثل لمثل هذه الأوامر بسلاسة وسلام؟ الإجابة الصريحة التي يعرفها الممارسون قبل غيرهم هي: لا، ويبقى البديل هو أحد الخيارين: إما النفاق الذي قد يبلغ حدّ الإنفصام المسمّى بالوسطيّة، أو التعصّب الذي قد يبلغ درجة العصاب الوسواسي المسمّى بالغلوّ في الدين... هل هناك خيار آخر؟ بكل تأكيد: إنّه خيار التديّن العاقل.
