دراسة شرعية رصينة في مسألة مهمة من مسائل الاعتقاد، وهي تحرير مذهَب السلَف الصالح من أهل القرون الخيرية الثلاثة، في التعامل مع نصوص الوحْيَـين التي وردتْ فيها إضافاتٌ تتنزّه الذاتُ الإلهية عن ظواهرها. بيّن فيها المؤلف أنّ مذهَب جماهير السلَف في مثل تلك النصوص هو تنزيه ذات الله تعالى عن ظواهرها المحالة، وتفويض المعنى المراد منها إلى الله عزّ وجل، لقُصُور عُقُول البشر وعِلْمِهم عن الإحاطة بكنه الصفات الإلهية العليّة.
وقد نهج المؤلف في دراسته هذه نهجاً علمياً رشيداً، حيث أصّل أولاً للأصل الأصيل المجمَع عليه في هذه المسألة وهو تنزيه الله تعالى عن مشابهة خلقه. ثم شرع بعدَ ذلك يبيّن المذاهبَ في قضية النصوص الموهِمة، مفرِداً مذهَب التفويض السَّلَفيّ بالشرح والبيان والتحقيق، باسطاً أدلته من الكتاب والسنة وإجماع الأئمة، ناقلاً في تقريره طائفةً عظيمةً من نصوص أهل العلم من لدن القرن الهجري الثاني حتى يومنا هذا. ثم عطف بردّ الشبهات عن مذهب السلف، وختم بمناقشة بعض الردود والنقدات التي وُجّهَتْ إلى كتابه هذا.
وقد تميّزت هذه الدراسة بالشرح الدقيق لكثير من الاصطلاحات محلّ البحث، كالظاهر والجارحة والكيف والتجسيم والتأويل وغيرها، وحوَتْ كثيراً من المسائل والفوائد والنقول النفيسة. كل ذلك معَ أدبٍ جمّ، ولغةٍ صحيحة، وتعبيرٍ واضح. ولذلك حظيَ بحثه بتقريظ عددٍ من علماء العصر وفضلائه، أُثبتتْ كلماتهم في صدر هذا الكتاب.
