لا بد لأي باحث في السيرة النبوية الشريفة، أن يتبعها بدليل لها، وهذا بالضبط ما فعلته الباحثة "سميرة الزايد" إذ عملت على إستخراج أنساب أعلام السيرة ورسم شجراتها في لوحات وفق منهجاً خاصاً إعتمد: إستخراج معظم الأعلام الواردة في كتاب (مسيرة إبن هشام)، وأنساب الأعلام من الكتاب نفسه حسب رواية إبن اسحاق، وإستخراج أشهر الأعلام التي ورد ذكرها في كتابها (السابق) "الجامع في السيرة النبوية" مع رسم أعمدة الأنساب في لوحات وفق أصولها وفروعها...
وكذلك تم العمل على رسم لوحتين مجملتين لأنساب العرب العدنانية والقحطانية بالإعتماد على كتاب تاريخ جمهرة النسب لإبن الكلبي، وسبائك الذهب، وأطلس تاريخ الإسلام مع التفريغ في أصول الأنساب العدنانية بأنساب قريش أولاً لكون النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) منهم من أنساب كنانة وما فوقها إلى عدنان.
أيضاً تضمن الكتاب رسم شجرة أصول الأنساب القحطانية، بالإعتماد على كتاب إبن الكلبي وسبائك الذهب، وأخيراً وضع خرائط ملونة تعين على فهم بعض الأحداث في السيرة النبوية.
