... وقد إرتأينا تقسيم الكتاب إلى أقسام تسهل العودة إليها، فعرضنا ملخصاً لعوامل إظهار الأدب العربي الحديث والمذاهب الأدبية وخصائص شعر التفعيلية. ثم إنتقلنا إلى قسم النصوص، فقمنا بدراسة هذه النصوص دراسة إشتملت على الرشح، والإجابة عن أسئلة المناقشة، وأعربنا في كل نص عدداً وافياً من المفردات والجمل، وبعد الإعراب أفردنا – في دراسة كل نص – حيزاً للأساليب النحوية والمشتقات الصرفية، كما وقفنا على الجوانب البلاغية بفروعها الثلاثة: البيان والبديع والمعاني. وكما لم نهمل التطرق إلى المشاعر العاطفية، فقد حرصنا على ربط النص بالمدرسة الأدبية التي ينتمي إليها، وبيان خصائصها البارزة فيه. ولأهمية الموازنة في أسئلة الفهم والتذوق، فقد خصصنا الموازنات بقسم وضحنا فيه مفهوم الموازنة ومجالاتها، وأوردنا نماذج تطبيقية للتدريب... وبعد إنهاء قسم النصوص بعرض ملخص للفنون الأدبية أوردنا قسماً للبلاغة والعروض، خاصاً بالفرع الأدبي، ثم أوجزنا في قسم آخر أبرز المهارات الإملائية التي يجب على الطالب مراجعتها للتمكن منها. وبعد ذلك قمنا بصياغة عدد من الفوائد العامة التي تهدف إلى التذكير بمهارات سابقة، نحوية وصرفية وإملائية، ومهارة الكشف في المعاجم اللغوية... أما في قسم التعبير، فقد قمنا بتغطية أفكار الكتاب ونصوصه بمحاوره المختلفة، وكتبنا عدداً من الموضوعات التي تربط أفكار ومحاور الكتاب المختلفة التي وجدنا بينها جامعاً من نوع ما، وسميناها موضوعات الربط، ثم وضعنا عدداً من الأفكار التي يمكن أن تشكل موضوعات للربط ... وإنتقلنا بعد ذلك لدراسة كتاب القواعد فشرحنا دروسه شرحاً مبسطاً واضحاً، ولم تغادر هذا القسم إلا بعد تذييله بجملة من الأسئلة، تشمل جميع دروس القواعد، لتكون رديفاً ورافداً لما ورد من أسئلة في الكتاب، وعوننا للطالب في تعزيز الفهم، ووقفنا عند كتاب القراءة، فأجبنا عن اسئلته الفكرية والتطبيقية.
