فهو القرآن هو العنوان الرئيس لهذا الكتاب وهو تعبير عن مجموعة القواعد والأطر التي يقدمها الفكر الخميني لفهم القرآن. على حين بأتي العنوان الشارح "دراسة على ضوء المدرسة السلوكية" دالاً على عمق هذا الفهم وتوغل مرتكزاته في المدرسة العرفانية التي تمثل إطاره ومرجعيته المعرفية.
وتتوزع هيكلية الكتاب على الأقسام التالية: 1-علوم القرآن ومبادئ التفسير، وقد تضمن فعلاً عشرة فصول بعد أن أسقطت من مادته ثلاثة أخرى تدور حول المحكم والمتشابه والتأويل، معنى الوحي وكيفية نزوله، وأخيراً الإعجاز القرآني، حين ضاق علي الوقت والمساحة معاً. وهذا القسم يمثل المادة الأساس للكتاب. 2-الإمام والطموح الصدرائي، ويتناول المشروع الخميني في التوفيق بين العرفاء والفلاسفة والفقهاء. 3-القرآن في النهضة، وهو بحث في محورية القرآن عند رادة الإحياء الإسلامي، وتحديد لمنطلقات النهضة على ضوء الفكر القرآني للإمام. 4-تطبيقات وأمثلة تفسيرية، تدور حول منتخبات اخترناها من نصوص الإمام تعالج موضوعات عقيدية وتربوية واجتماعية وسياسية وثقافية. 5-الإمام والقرآن، وهو عبارة عن يوميات خاصة من حياة الإمام وعلاقته بكتاب الله.
