يحتوي هذا الكتاب على رسالتين مكملتين لبعضهما الأولى دونها الإمام جلال الدين السيوطي وهي تحت عنوان لباب الحديث وضمنها كماً من الأخبار النبوية والآثار المروية عنه صلى الله عليه وسلم في مواضيع دينية إسلامية تهم المسلم وتنير له دربه وتكشف له على سبيل المثال عن فضيلة لا إله إلا الله، فضيلة بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، فضيلة الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فضيلة الإيمان، فضيلة المساجد، فضيلة التسبيح، فضيلة التوبة، فضيلة النكاح... أما الرسالة الثانية فجاءت شارحة للرسالة الأولى ومبينة لما فيها من أحكام غامضة ومعاني مستقرة وهي من إعداد عالم من علماء القرن الرابع عشر للهجرة وهو الإمام محمد بن عمر النووي البنتني.
