لما كان الإسلام ديناً رباني المنهج، وهو يُصلح الزمان والمكان والإنسان، كونه يحمل عقيدة وشريعة وأخلاقاً، فإنه لا غنى للمسلم عن التفقه في دين الله، ومعرفة أحكام شرع الله في العبادات المحضة، أو العبادات الإجتماعية، أو العبادات المالية.
ولعل من أهم هذه الشؤون: الشأن المالي، والتعامل الإقتصادي الذي قد يُغرق فيه الإنسان ويتورط في بعض المسائل دون شعور أنه يقع في الحرج والإثم والحرام. ذلك أحكام المعاملات المالية من الناحية الشرعية وقد غابت (في الغالب) عن الحياة العملية والممارسات المالية اليومية.
ويُعد كتاب مغني المحتاج إلى معرفة معاني ألفاظ المنهاج (للخطيب الشربيني) على متن منهاج الطالبين (للإمام النووي) من أهم كتب الفقه الإسلامي على مذهب السادة الشافعية، كونه ليس من المطولات المملة، ولا من المختصرات التي تحتاج في حل ألغازها إلى مزيد جهد وكبير عناء.
ولقد حرصت الدار على تقديم هذا القيم لطلبة العلم، ميسراً هيناً، بالأسلوب الأمثل بإستخدام أحدث أنواع الطباعة، ببيان الفقرات والجمل والفصل بينها بعلامات الترقيم.
وتمتاز هذه الطبعة بضبط الكلمات والحروف كلها بالشكل، تسهيلاً على طالب العلم وتيسيراً.

وقد ذيل بعض الأبواب بقرارات مجامع الفقه الإسلامي، التي أخذت على عاتقها بيان الأحكام الشرعية في المستجدات المعاصرة، ليبقى المسلم على صلة بدينه، ومعرفة ما يباح وما يحرم من المعاملات المالية السريعة التطور، والمتسارعة الحدوث.
ولقد قام بهذا العمل فضيلة الشيخ الدكتور علاء الدين زعتري مشكوراً على جهده، كونه خبيراً جامعاً بين الدراسات الإسلامية والإقتصادية المتخصصة، بالإضافة إلى خبرته العملية إذ قام بتدريس فقه العبادات المالية ما يزيد عن عقد من الزمن في أكثر من كلية جامعية في سورية ولبنان وشارك في عديد من المؤتمرات التي تناقش قضايا الإقتصاد الإسلامي.
