تناولت هذه الموضوعات من خلال التعريف بالموضوع وبيان أراء فقهاء الشريعة الإسلامية في كل جزئية على حدة، ثم أعرج على بيان موقف قانون الأحوال الشخصية في سلطنة عمان منها، أن كان القانون انتصر لرأي فيها، وقد أُغفل بيان رأي القانون في بعض الجزئيات متى كانت محل إتفاق بين العلماء، أو كان القانون قد غض الطرف عنها وترك بيانها والنص عليها ليعطي سلطة تقديرية أوسع للقاضي في تطبيق الرأي الذي يراه مناسباً للمتداعيين أمامه في ضوء المذهب الفقهي المناسب لهم، أو الرأي الأنسب لظروف المجتمع العماني.
وقد تناول قانون الأحوال الشخصية العماني مسائل الزواج والطلاق وأحكام كل منهما في المواد من المادة الأولى حتى المادة السابعة والثلاثون ومائة، وذلك من خلال كتابين خصص الكتاب الأول منهما لمسائل الزواج وما يتعلق به من أحكام، وخصص الكتاب الثاني منهما للفرقة بين الزوجين.
