"مدّاح الكائنات" العنوان الذي اختاره عاشور الطويبي ليقدم من خلاله للقارىء العربي مجموعة قصائد مترجمة للشاعر الهندي "كبير أو كبير داس" ، وهي مأخوذة من ترجمة للشاعر الهندي الكبير رابندراتات طاغور الذي ترجم له مائة أغنية في العشق ونشرها في كتاب عام 1915، وكذلك من ترجمة للشاعر الأمريكي روبرت بلاي الذي ترجم للشاعر "كبير" قصائد في كتاب أسماه قصائد النشوة، ومن هاتين الترجمتين قام الأستاذ عاشور الطويبي باختيار وترجمة قصائد هذا الكتاب.
يبدأ الكتاب بمقدمة عن حياة ومذهب الشاعر "كبير داس" (ولد سنة 1440 - توفي سنة 1518) في مدينة فارناسي من إقليم جنبور بالهند. وعندما كبر "كان ينادي بالدين الحر الخالي من الحواجز الطبقية، العرقية، الناجي من سيطرة الفقهاء ورجال الدين". يمتاز شعره بـ "فكرة الحلول والإتحاد أو ما يسميه أتباع كبير بدرب المحبة وهو درب يمشي فيه الفرد وحيداً فهو لا يحتمل الكثرة" وسجت الكثير من الحكايات عنه، وبقيت أشعاره وأغانيه خالدة، اعتبره الباحث جون ستراتون هاولي من ضمن الثلاثة أصوات العظيمة: كبير، ميراباي وسرداس، في القرنيني الخامس عشر والسادس عشر التي أحيت المذهب الباكتائي في الهند وفي العالم بعد ذلك بقرون.
ومن قصائد "كبير" نقرأ قصيدة بعنوان "يا قلبي":
يا قلبي! / الروح العلية، / المولى العظيم، / قريب منك / إستيقظ، / آه إستيقظ! / أركض إلى قدمي حبيبك: / فالمولى يقف قريباً من رأسك / لقد نمت لقرون لا تُحصى: / ألن تستيقظ هذا الصباح؟" إن دعوة الشاعر التطهيرية هذه من أجل القرب من الله تجسد معاني القداسة في الزمكان، وبهذا يكتسب النص شعريته وحرارته في توقد معانيه وحضور ذات الشاعر، والتحامها بالذات العلوية، وهذا ما يؤكد موقفه الإيجابي من "فكرة الحلول والإتحاد" التي اتصفت بها معظم أشعاره.
