مما دأب الناس عليه، فى مساجد بعينها، وراء أئمة بعينهم "صلاة التسابيح" فسألنى بعضهم عن مشروعيتها، فتكاسلت فى إيضاح الجواب، ذلك لأن التصحيح والتضعيف للأحاديث يحتاج لجهد جهيد، ووقت موفور، لتوضيح المسألة من كافة جوانبها، ثم سالنى غير قليل منهم مرة أخرى، فشرعت فى كتابة هذه الرسالة عن تلك الصلاة. وقد قسمت تلك الرسالة إلى ثلاثة مباحث... أولهن طرق الحديث ونصه فى كتب السنن والمسانيد والموضوعات، وثانيها عن موقف علماء الجرح والتعديل السابقين والمعاصرين من حديث صلاة التسابيح، وثالث المباحث للترجيح بين تلك الآراء.
