هذا الكتاب يحيوي على أربع رسائل لا يستهان في علم النحو الأولى عن معاني "البسملة" للزجاج وينتاول من حيث المعنى والأصل والإشتقاق والإعراب وما إلى ذلك. أما الثانية فهى للدكتور" عبد الفتاح سليم" الذي قام بتجميع تلك الرسائل والتعليق عليها وتضمن فيها ما سقط سهوا من كتاب "ابن جنى وأسماها" الخاطريات المنسية ، أما الرسالة الثالثة فهى في الاستفهام للإمام ابن هشام الأنصاري وأما الرابعة والأخيرة ففيها توضيح لما ذكره علماء النحو في قوله الله تعالى"أرايتكم" وهى للإمام شهاب الدين الخفاجي وفي النهاية هذا الكتاب هو رسالة لمحبي اللغة العربية وإليهم نقدمه.
