سعى ابن حزم طوال حياته التي عاشها تحت راية الأمويين إلي تأسيس مذهب فكرى متكامل، يكون بديلاً للثقافة المشرقية السائدة، وقد التف حول مدرسته جم غفير من المفكرين، والمؤرخين، والأصوليين، ورجال القضاء، والسياسة، وكانت هذه المدرسة قائمة أساساً علي سلطة النص، مستمدة تأثيرها من منطق البرهان، وربما كان فتح باب الاجتهاد في هذه المدرسة بعد غلقه صورة لحرية التفكير العلمي.
وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلي تكوين فكرة مجملة عن الآراء الهندسية، والتطبيقية البارزة التي حفلت بها مؤلفاته في البيان، والمنطق، وعلم الكلام، واللاهوت، وإعادة ترتيبها وفق التنظيم معين يجعل منها نسقاً متكاملاً، وبنية منسجمة تفسر وظيفتها، من خلال علاقة هذه آل عناصر في ضوء الأصول العامة التي وصفها صاحب النظرية، وليس عبثاً ن ترتبط مسائل اللغة، والتفكير فيها بمسائل الأصول والإلهيات وهذا هو الشائع، ذلك أننا نبحث في طبيعة الخطاب الحزمي عامة دون حصره في مجال ضيق، ولأننا بذلك نحاول أن نقيم جسراً بين رؤيته الجديدة وظروف اجتماعية وسياسية، بل حضارية تكر بها بلاده من خلال نقده لنسق فكري قائم تحكم في دفة الأمور.
