يذكر أن خوسيه كارلوس سوموزا أورتيغا مؤلف إسباني. ولد في هافانا ، كوبا. في عام 1960 انتقلت عائلته إلى إسبانيا بعد نفيها لأسباب سياسية. أثبتت عائلته أنه في وضع مالي صعب بعد انتقاله إلى إسبانيا لأنهم منعوا من أخذ أي شيء باستثناء طفلهم. وكان هناك الكثير من الأصدقاء الذين ساعدهم كثيرا خلال سنواتهم الأولى في إسبانيا.
