محي الدين إسماعيل (1925 ــ ) ناقد ، ومفكر ، ، ومترجم ، ولد ونشأ في البصرة ــ العراق ، بدت بواكير اهتمامه بالأدب واللغة والدراسة الجدية بعد أن درس اللغة العربية على يد استاذه الشيخ الناصري ، واطلع على أمهات كتب التراث العائدة لأبيه ، اهتم بشكل خاص بالموسيقى ، فكان يغرق بالاستماع إلى الموسيقى الكلاسيكية ، من كتبه : "رحلة لأقصى الفجر" ، ويحتوي على معظم مقالاته الصادرة في حقبة الخمسينيّات : موسوعة المفكرين والأدباء العراقيين : حميد المطبعي ج4 ـ 209 .

هذا الكتاب يهدف إلى تجميع النصوص التحكيمية الموجودة في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي الست. وقد قمنا بتصنيفها إلى قسمين: الأول يتضمن نصوص قوانين المرافعات او قوانين التحكيم في هذه الدول ما قد يكون لها من لوائح تنفيذية وقرارات وزارية مع المقارنة بين هذه القوانين.
وفي القسم الثاني من هذا المؤلف أدرجنا مراكز التحكيم في الدول الست بادئين بمركز التحكيم التجاري لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية باعتباره منشأ باتفاقية دولية بينها ثم ادرجنا مراكز التحكيم الخرى بنفس الترتيب الأبجدي سالف الذكر.
