يتخذ الشاعر العراقي سعدي يوسف من قصائد الشاعر الصيني، لي بو مادة لعمل إبداعي شعري وسمه بعنوان "جرارٌ بلونِ الذهب" قدم له بمقدمة عن القصيدة الأصل، موضع الحديث، في هذا الكتاب "أغنية شانغ - غان: حكاية حُبٍّ فتي" وألحق ذلك بقصائد أخرى للشاعر على مدى صفحات الكتاب، حيث يتعرف القارئ من خلال إشتغالات الشاعر لي بو على مدى تأثره بالكوتفوشية، والتأويّة بخاصة (ترِدُ في قصائده إشاراتٌ إلى التاو)، كما أنه ابن الطبيعة، ومُحِبٍّ للكأس، كان جواب آفاقٍ، مُعظم حياته، لا بسبب من فقرٍ، بل بسببٍ من غنى، وبالرغم من كونفوشيوسيته - يضيف سعدي يوسف - إلا أن سيرته في صباه، وهو المقامر الحرُّ، كانت بعيدةً عن تعاليم الكونفوشيوسية.
في الصين الآن ألفٌ ومائةٌ من القصائد المنسوبة إليه، ويعتبره الصينيون، شاعرهم الأسمى، حتى اليوم...
وعليه، يضم الكتاب ما يزيد عن الخمسون قصيدة للشاعر لي بو، نقلها إلى العربية سعدي يوسف نذكر من عناوينها: "مجونٌ على الجبل"، "تبرئة"، "عن تورفو"، "وحيداً أنظر إلى القمر"، "وحيداً أشربُ تحت ضوء القمر"، "بين الزهور إبريقُ خمر"... وقصائد أخرى.
عن الشاعر لي بو: "ولِدَ لي بو، العامَ 701 في "طقماق" بقيرغيزستان الحالية، لكن أسرته استقرت في سيشعران حيث ترعرعَ، غادر لي بو البيت العائلي في العام 725، جواب آفاقٍ في وادي نهر اليانغستي، يكتب الشعر.
في العام 742 عينه الإمبراطور كسوانغ زونغ في أكاديمية حافلين، لكن ما لبثَ أن طردَ من البلاط الإمبراطوري، ثم دخل في خدمة الأميريون، الذي قاد ثورةً بعد تمرد آن لو شان في العام 755، حُبِسَ لي بو بتهمة الخيانة، ونُفيَ، ثم صدر عفو عنه، فعاد جوّاباً في وادي اليانغستي، تزوج أربع مرّاتٍ، وكان صديقاً للشاعر الشهير تورفو، قضى في العام 762 مسموماً، أو بتليفِ الكبِدِ.
