إنَّ ممَّا لا شكَّ فيه ولا إرتيابَ أنَّ علمَ المنطق من علوم الآلات الّتي ينبغي على طالب العلم أن يمتلَّك ناصيتها، وكيف لا وهو مرتبط إرتباطاً وثيقاً بعِلَمي أصول الدين وأصول الفقه، ولا يتسنَّى لطالب العلم أن يكون مبرزاً فيهما إلاَّ إن تعلَّم المنطق وأتقنه؛ كما أنَّ فهمَ كثير من كلام الأئمة في مختلف الفنون موقوف على معرفة الإصطلاحات المنطقيَّة.
لهذا قام المحقق بالإعتناء بكتاب "مغني الطُّلاَّب شرح متن إيساغوجي"، وهو الكتاب الَّذي بين أيدينا، للطف حجمه ودقَّة عبارته وغزارة محتواه؛ وكان عمله في تحقيق الكتاب والتَّعليق عليه على الشكل التالي: 1-ضبط النصِّ والحرص على تلافي الأخطاء الواقعة في الطبعة الأولى، والمقابلة بين النُّسخ الخمس، 2-شكل الكتاب شكلاً موضحاً ومبيِّناً، 3-أبقى الإختصارات المشهورة عند المناطقة في المواضع الأولى من ورودها في هذا الكتاب مع الإشارة إلى معانيها، 4-حرص أن يُذكر اسم الشارح على الغلاف الخارجيِّ للكتاب، 5-أضاف تمهيداً في أوَّل الكتاب ذكر فيه ما يُثار حول مسألة حكم الإشتغال بالمنطق، 6-فصَل بين الأبحاث ووضع عنواناً لكلِّ بحث، 7-وضع تشجيراً للأبحاث الَّتي يمكن أن تُشجَّر، يتلو البحث المتعلِّقَ به، 8-أثرى الكتاب بتعليقات نفيسة، استفاد معظمها من شروح وحواشٍ أخرى للكتاب، 9-خرَّج ما ورد في الكتاب من أحاديث، وترجم للأعلام المذكورين في هذا الكتاب ترجمة تليق بالمقام...
