لقد كان لزاماً على الأمَّة ولا يزال وسيبقى وإلى أن تقوم الساعة الأخذ بالسنَّة الشريفة والعمل بها، ودائماً تكون برنامج عمل حياتي للأمَّة المؤمنة، من أجل ربطها بالله عزّ وجلّ ومن أجل أن تكون الأمَّة قادرة على حمل مسؤوليتها، بعد الشهور بواجبها.
من هذه السنن النبوية، من هذه السنَّن المحمَّدية الشريفة، وهو قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى الأمة، مخاطباً إيَّاها: (تخلقوا بأخلاق الله)، حيث حيث أنَّ هناك أسماء لله، وهذه الأسماء لله هي من صفات الله سبحانه وتعالى، لا يمكن أن تنفصل عنه، ولكن بالنسبة للإنسان الصفات ليست عين الذات، ولهذا نرى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول للأمَّة: (تخلقوا بأخلاق الله)، يعني بصفات الله سبحانه وتعالى، وصفات الله عزّ وجلّ منها ما هو ضمن "التسعة والتسعون إسماً" ومنها ما هو خارج عن "التسعة والتسعون إسماً".
والغاية من الثواب العظيم وإستحباب حفظ أسماء الله سبحانه وتعالى الحسنى من أجل أن يتخلَّق الإنسان بها، ويسعى جاهداً من أجل أن يُجسِّدها في سلوكه وفي عمله، وأن تكون منهجاً لحياته.
ويعتبر دعاء "مكارم الأخلاق" من الصحيفة السجَّأدية للإمام علي بن الحسين زيد العابدين عليه السلام خير دليل للتخلُّق بأخلاق الله عزّ وجلّ، لذلك سيكون هذا الكتاب عبارة عن موجز لدروس هذا الدعاء المبارك، حيث تمَّ شرحه بشكل محاضرات تناولت بالبحث والتمحيص أبعاد هذا الدعاء المبارك، الذي يُعتبر بحقٍّ هو النبراس الأخلاقي للأمَّة التي تريد أن تتخلَّق بأخلاق ربها الله سبحانه وتعالى.
