إنَّ كتاب "عمدة الأحكام"، لمؤلفه الإمام عبد الغني بن عبد الواحد بن سرور المقدسي رحمه الله، قد اعتنى به العلماء، وطلبة العلم إعتناءً كبيراً، حفظاً وتدريساً، وهذا مما ينبئ عن صدق مقصد صاحبه، وإخلاصه، نحسبه والله حسيبه، فوفق رحمه الله.
وأيضاً: اعتنوا به شروحاً، فقد شرحه عدد كبير من أهل العلم، ما بين مطول ومختصر، كما هو معروف عند الكثير.
ولقد يسّر الله تعالى لي ولله الحمد أن أقوم بتدريس هذا الكتاب المبارك، بدار الحديث، بدماج صعدة، حرسها الله، ورحم الله مؤسسها، وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وهو: شيخنا مقبل بن هادي الوادعي، وكذا خليفته من بعده، هو: شيخنا يحيى بن علي الحجوري حفظه الله ووفقه وسدده.
وفي أثناء التدريس، وما زلت في أوائل الكتاب، سألني بعض الإخوة ممن يحضرون الدرس معي في هذا الكتاب: هل سيطبع هذا الشرح؟ قلت: لا فقالوا: لو يطبع؛ وينتفع الناس منه، فاستحسنت هذا الأمر، وفكرت في ذلك؛ ثم عزمت على طبعه، وكنت قبلُ أتهيب من طبعه، وذلك لكثرة ا لمسائل التي تطرح، وأنها تحتاج إلى عناية كبيرة وتدقيق، وأيضاً شروحات هذا الكتاب كثيرة.
فاستعنت بالله سبحانه وتعالى، وعزمت على إخراجه، وأيضاً: عرض عليّ بعضُ الدور أنه سيقوم بطبع هذا الكتاب، فزادني هذا عزماً أكثر، واستمريت على التدريس بحمد الله، والمسائل تكتب أولاً فأول: حتى انتهيت من التدريس في سنة وبضعة أشهر، فلما انتهيت من التدريس رجعت للكتاب من أوله تنقيحاً، وإضافة ما يحتاج إلى إضافة، وحذف ما يحتاج إلى حذف، واجتهدت في ذلك بقدر ما أستطيع.
ومع ذلك؛ فأنا بشر أخطأ وأصيب، فما كان صواباً فهو توفيق من الله سبحانه وتعالى، وله وحده الفضل والمنة، وما كان من خطأ فمني ومن الشيطان، وأنا أطلب من إخواني طلاب العلم، وكذا من علمائنا الأجلاء، حفظهم الله ووفقهم: أنه من وجد خطأ أو زللاً وأفاني به، وجزاه الله تعالى خيراً، فإن كان ذلك في حياتي استدركت ذلك الخطأ وأصلحته، وإن حصل ذلك بعد موتي فالخطأ يجتنب.
