إنـما المرأة مِرآةٌ بهـا كلُّ ما تنظرهُ منك ولكْ فهي شيطانٌ إذا أفسدَتها وإذ أصلَحتْها فهي ملَكْ هذا الكتاب رسالة لطيفة للشيخ علاء الدين علي بن حسام الدين المتقي الهندي، صاحب الكتاب المشهور ((كنز العمال)) جمع فيها أحاديث شريفة تختصُّ بالنساء، جاعلاً منها عنواناً لهن في السلوك إلى سواء السبيل. وتأتي أهمية الرسالة في كونها تبحث في إرشاد المرأة المسلمة إلى الطريق إلى الله ـ تعالى ـ. وقد ذكر المؤلف في رسالته أحاديث من غير إسناد، ولم يذكر من خرَّجها، رغبة منه في الاختصار، إلا أنه أشار في نهاية الرسالة بقوله: ((الأحاديث التي ذكرت في هذه الرسالة من ((جمع الجوامع)) للعلامة الأسيوطي)). بدأ الرسالة بمقدِّمة جميلة تحدَّث فيها عن الكمالات، ثم قسم الرسالة إلى فصلين: الأول: أورد فيه أحاديث عن حق المرأة وحقيقتها. الثاني: أورد فيه أحاديث عن ترهيبات وترغيبات تختصُّ بالنساء. ثم ختم الرسالة بفوائد متفرقة تحدَّث فيها عن تفضيل الناس الذكران على الإناث. أما عمل المحقق في الكتاب: فقد ترجم للمؤلف، وذكر شيوخه، ورحلاته، كما ذكر آثاره، وتلاميذه، وثناء العلماء عليه، وأفرد بحثاً في الحديث عن إثبات نسبة الرسالة للمؤلف.
