ما يميز شعرية ناصر كون نصوصه صيغت بمنتهى البراعة، سواء على مستوى الرصانة اللغوية أو على مستوى الإيقاع المنسجم، ما يحدث وقعاً حسناً في النفس سبكاً ومعنى. أكثر من هذا فهو ديوان يضاف إلى سجلَ أروع ما صيغ في جماليات المشاعر الإنسانية، وقلما نجد، أعذب منه في الشعر الحديث.
تحت عنوان: (وردة الدانتيلا السوداء) يقول الشاعر: "وإذا رأى ما رأى/ أطرقت/ وضمت/ وجهلت/ إجلسي/ أرجوك/ بهذين الحقلين المحروثين/ بقرني ثور سأضمن القطاف،/ إجلسي/ وباعدي،/ قليل من الهواء للغصن المنحني بكمثراه".
يقسم الكتاب إلى مجموعتين الأولى بعنوان (سر من رآك) وتضم تسعة قصائد، والمجموعة الثانية بعنوان (مرتقى الأنفاس) وتضم ستة قصائد.
