ولد في قرية شبطين شمال لبنان وعمل في الصحافة العربية في بيروت ولندن وباريس قبل هجرته الى استراليا في أواخر عام 1988 وما زال يعمل في مجال الصحافة في أستراليا كما أنه يكتب لعدد من الصحف في الدول العربية صدر له عدة دواوين: ليس للمساء أخوة - 1981 المياه المياه - 1983 رجل في هواء مستعمل يقعد ويفكر في الحيوانات - 1985 مقعد راكب غادر الباص - 1987 بسبب غيمة على الأرجح - 1992 محاولة وصل ضفتين بصوت - 1997 نص الغياب - 1999 غبار - 2001 رتق الهواء - 2005
Book Description
وضع قدمه على النقطة الأخيرة للحافة وراح يغني. لنسمة العدم الأولى التي ستمر على جسده، وللفضاء الذي كان فارغاً وسميتلئ به الآن. وطأ على النقطة الأخيرة وراح يغني: في الفجر تطلع الشمس وفي المغيب تغيب والسنة فصول أربعة. فيا للحياة الجميلة، النهار ضوء إن لم تكن غيوم. والليل عتمة فيا للحياة الجميلة، وللناس بيوت،والساكنون فيها مهما مشوا لا يصلون إلى الباب فيا للبيوت الجميلة. وضع قدمه على الحافة وغنى لمزقي ثوبه التي لمح فيها ذات يوم إبتسامة للفجر، ولغزاً كاملاً للغروب ولحياته التي رآها مثل حريق شب فجأة في نزهة. وضع قدمه على النقطة الأخيرة للحافة وراح يغني للخطوة التالية. لم يكن هو الذي مرّ ولا ظله على كائنات جديدة. فقط كانا واقفين في نقطة غريبة بلا كائنات. لك أن تتخيل النقطة الأخيرة كما تشاء، ولك أن تتصور المغني كما تشاء والفضاء والفجر والشمس... والمغيب كما تشاء. فالقصيدة، كما بقية قصائد الشاعر، دعوة مفتوحة إلى مساحات من المعاني المفرقة في رمزياتها وإستشفافاتها إلى ما لا نهاية.
