تبحث هذه الدراسة في أثر العوامل الديني في التحيز الأمريكي لليهود وإسرائيل، حيث مهد المؤلف لذلك بتوضيح عدم كفاية نسبة هذا التحيز لنفوذ اليهود، أو الأطماع الإستعمارية في المنطقة العربية، وركز على العامل الديني، ولبيان أهمية ومركزية هذا العامل، قامت الدراسة بتأصيل العلاقة بين اليهودية والمسيحية، وأوضحت كيف أن حركة الإصلاح الديني والمذهب البروتستانتي السائد في أمريكا، جاء بنظرة جديدة كلياً تجاه اليهود انعكست بصورة إيجابية على ماضيهم ومستقبلهم.
حيث لعبت التعاليم الدينية المستمدة من التوراة اليهودية (العهد القديم) دوراً مركزياً في صياغة فكر وثقافة المهاجرون الأوائل لأمريكا، فأصبح هناك إعتقاد مبكر لدى الأمريكيين، بضرورة تحقيق كافة النبوءات الواردة في العهد القديم، وعلى رأسها إعادة اليهود إلى فلسطين، كواجب ديني، حيث بدأ ذلك قبل ظهور الحركة الصهيونية بثلاثة قرون.
وتبرز الدراسة دور الدين في الحياة الأمريكية قديماً وحديثاً، وأثره في صياغة الفكر والثقافة الأمريكية، مما أنعكس على المواقف الأمريكية تجاه كثير من القضايا، وبالذات من اليهود وإسرائيل، وكيف كان المشروع الصهيوني، مشروعاً أمريكا، بكل تفاصيله يهدف إلى تحقيق رؤى ونبوءات دينية، آمن بها الشعب الأمريكي بمعظم فئاته، وتعاطف معها وتبناها الزعماء السياسيون، منذ تأسيس الجمهورية عام 1776، وحتى وقتنا الحاضر، وحتى لا يبقى الكلام مجرد إسقاطات نظرية عرض المؤلف مواقف كثيرة من الرؤساء الأمريكيين منذ تأسيس الجمهورية وحتى بوش الإبن، وكيف لعب الدين دوراً مهماً في تشكيل مواقفهم من اليهود ودولة إسرائيل، وركز على الرئيس بوش الإبن كمثال لكافة الرؤساء الأمريكيون الذين كان للدين دور رئيس على سياستهم، ويكفى ان نعلم أن كافة الرؤساء الأمريكيين كانوا من البروتستانت بإستثناء الرئيس الكاثوليكي الوحيد جون كيندي الذي تم إغتياله.
وتخلص الدراسة إلى مركزية الدور الرئيس للدين في تشكيل الموقف الأمريكي تجاه اليهود وإسرائيل، مما يتطلب يتطلب إعادة تقييم عربي فلسطيني شامل لكيفية التعامل معه ومواجهته من خلال خطة شاملة، تبدأ بالفهم والدراسة، ووضع الخطط الشاملة، وعلى كافة المستويات لمواجهة هذا التحيز، الذي وصف إلى مستويات غير مسبوقة من التوحش، بسبب غياب أي رادع دولي أو عربي يمنعه، أو يخفف من تطرفه وتبنيه للمطالب الصهيونية.
