هذا الكتاب هو رسالة قيّمة حاد بها العارف الأوحدي "محي الدين أبي عبد الله محمد (ابن عربي) المتوفى سنة 638هـ - ق، محاولاً فيها الكشف عن سر أسماء الله الحسنى لأهل العناية من عباد الله، وهذه الرسالة هي تبين للرابطة الكائنة بين الأسماء الإلهية والخلق حيث قال: "وللعبد بأسماء الحق تعالى تعلق، وتحقّق، وتخلّق".
لقد قسم (ابن عربي) الأسماء إلى الأسماء التي علّمنا الله إياها، وإلى الأسماء المستأثرة في علم غيبه بحيث لا يعرفها أحد من خلقه؛ كما ورد في الكافي عن أبي جعفر أنه قال: "إن اسم الله الأعظم على ثلاثة وسبعين حرفاً، وإنما كان عند آصف منها حرف واحد إلى أن قال: "ونحن عندنا من الإسم الأعظم اثنان وسبعون حرفاً، وحرف واحد عند الله تعالى استأثر به في علم الغيب عنده".
وهذا الكتاب يتفرد ببيان بعض الإرتباط الموجود بين الأسماء وبين الخلق حيث جاء فيها (وللعبد بأسماء الحق تعالى تعلق وتحقق وتخلق) ويفسر (ابن عربي) ذلك بقوله: "إن التعلق افتقارك إليها مطلقاً، والتحقيق معرفة معانيها بالنسبة إليه سبحانه وبالنسبة إليك، والتخلق أن تنسب إليك على ما يليق بك، كما تنسب إليه سبحانه على ما يليق به".
سنرى في هذا الكتاب أن المراد بالإسم، وهو الإسم ثبوتاً وهو الحقيقة التي اتصف بها الله تعالى في الواقع فجميع أسمائه سبحانه يمكن تحققها والتخلق بها إلا الإسم "الله"...؟؟؟. وأن أسماء علمنا إياها وأسماء استأثر بها في علمه دون خلقه.
سنجد في هذا الكتاب (99) اسماً لله تعالى، يفسرها (ابن عربي) وفق المعاني الثلاثة في التعلق، والتحقيق، والتخلق، بأسلوب واضح ومؤيد بآيات الذكر الحكيم... جدير بالإهتمام.
