وبالعودة لمتن الكتاب نجد أن المؤلف قد تناول منه ما رآه ضرورياً في كل ما يتصل بهذا الموضوع من المذيع وفن تقديم البرامج في الإذاعة المسموعة والإذاعة المسموعة المرئيةـ أي في الراديو والتليفزيون، بادئاً بمحاولة تعريف من هو "المذيع" وما هو الفرق بينه الآن وبين هؤلاء الذين قاموا بنفس المهام قبل ظهور الوسائل الإلكترونية، ليستطرد بعد ذلك في تحديد خصائصه وواجباته وصفاته وكيفية إعداده وتدريبه. ثم تناول بعد ذلك كل ما يتعلق بأدوات المذيع الرئيسية والتي تتمثل في اللغة والكلام والصوت والإلقاء، ليتطرق بعد ذلك إلى الجوانب المهنية والتي منها قواعد وأساليب التعامل مع الكاميرا والميكرفون والعمل داخل الاستوديو وخارجه، والعمل من خلال نص مكتوب والعمل مرتجلاً... ثم تناول بعد ذلك مسؤولات ومهام المذيع في مواقع العمل الإذاعي على اختلافها، فتعرض لعمله في مجال الصحافة الإذاعية وبرامج الحوار والمناقشات، والتنفيذ اليومي والإذاعات الخارجية والإعلانات التجارية... وفي كل جانب من هذه الجوانب حاولت أن يقدم بعض النماذج التي تعاون على التدريب لاكتساب الخبرة الذاتية.
