هذا شرح موجز على مقصورة الإمام أبي بكر محمد بن الحسين بن دريد الأزدي (رحمه الله).
أخذت نفسي بتحقيقه وتمحيصه، وتناولت فيه تفسير غريب اللغة وما تضمنته القصيدة من الحوادث التاريخية المشهورة. وتراجم الرجال الذين وردت أسماؤهم فيها مع بيان معنى كل بيت بمفرده ليقرب فهم المقصورة على طلاب العلم وشداة الأدب.
وقدمت ترجمة وافية للإمام ابن دريد، وجعلتها في مقدمة الكتاب، تناولت فيها تعريف به وبآرائه ومؤلفاته.
