هذا الكتاب دراسة في مسائل النحو في القرآن الكريم تعتمد على ما جاء في القرآن الكريم من شواهد في (المبتدأ والخبر) وهو شواهد تطالع قارىء القرآن في مواطن كثيرة تبرز معانٍ قرآنية سامية فيها من الفصاحة ووجوه الإعجاز الكثير ولهذا الغرض اعتمد مؤلف الكتاب الدكتور عبد الفتاح الحموز على مظان النحو وإعراب القرآن وتفسيره في تدوين مسائله والتفصيل فيها وعزز هذه المسائل بما استطاع الوقوف عليه من شواهد في كتابنا العزيز، كما أنه عمل على تدوين بعض الخلافات النحوية بين العلماء، وذلك بتدوين أوجه الأعاريب المختلفة، وتعزيز كل مسألة بشاهد، وغض الطرف عن تلك الشواهد من كلام العرب، نظمه ونثره، وتلك التي يميل المؤلفون المحدثون إلى ابتكارها.
وبناءً على ما تقدم وزع المؤلف دراسته على ثماني فصول تناول فيها أهم مسائل المبتدأ والخبر مثل الإسم الصريح وغير الصريح وأسماء الإشارة والإسم الموصول وأسماء الشرط وأسماء الإستفهام والحروف المقطعة وأسماء الإشارة، والنكرة، ونوعا المبتدأ (نوع له خبر ونوع له فاعل) ومسوغات الإبتداء بالنكرة وربط الجملة التي في موضع الخبر وتعدد الخبر ومذاهب النحويين في جواز تقديم الخبر ووجوبه، وكذلك في جواز حذفه، وجر الخبر بحروف الخفض الزائدة وغيرها من قواعد ذات صلة.
