البراجماتية اللسانية أو التداولية اللسانية، هي نفسها التداولية التي شاعت في البحوث العربية، وقد اخترت مصطلح "البراجماتية اللسانية" لدلالته على المفهوم الغربي الدقيق وللتفرقة بين المصطلح اللساني الحديث والمصطلح الفلسفي، وقد ترجم الأخير إلى البراجماتية والفوائدية والنفعية والعملية. والبراجماتية اللسانية منهج غربي حديث في البحث اللغوي تأثر بالفلسفة الواقعية المادية في بحث أعيان الأشياء وما يتعلق بها، وهدفها القصد اللغوي.
وقد تأثر بمنهجها بعض الباحثين العرب، فترجموا بعض الدراسات والكتب، واجتهدوا في تطويعها للدرس العربي وتطبيقها، وكتبوا فيها، بيد أن التطبيقات يشوبها بعض اللبس والضعف؛ لأن منهجها غربي في مضمونه وتطبيقه، ولا يمثل نسقًا عامًا في كل اللغات، ولا يساوق عرف التعبير عن القصد في العربية، ولا يعبر تعبيرًا دقيقًا عن العناصر البلاغية في الخطاب العربي، فقد عجز عن استيعاب الأبعاد البلاغية والقصدية في النص.
وسوف نستعرض في هذه الدراسة النشأة والمبادئ وذلك من خلال تناول مصطلح البراجماتية اللسانية، مفهوم البراجماتية، نشأة النظرية البراجماتية اللسانية، القصد عند علماء العربية، علاقة البراجماتية بالعلوم الإنسانية، مجال البحث البراجماتي، وأخيرًا نقدم نقدًا للبراجماتية اللسانية في ختام الدراسة.
