في الرياضة مجالات رحبة وعظيمة لكي يتعلم فيها ومنها الشباب، وقد شاهدت خلال سنوات عملي شباباً أدركوا أهمية البحث لكي يتحققوا من معلومة قد صارت مسلمة من خلال تداولها بين الناس. وقد رأيت الكثيرين ممن تعلموا طريقة التفكير المنطقية في تفسير بعض الظواهر وفي التحقق من الأنباء وتفسيرها، وممن تعرّفوا إلى قضايا سياسية وأساليب حياة إجتماعية بأريحية ومن دون أي قسر.
وشاهدت - في هذا المجال - عدداً من الشباب: قد قرروا كتباً لكي يطوّروا أساليبهم الكتابية من أجل التعبير عن أنفسهم في مجالات خبراتهم الرياضية. وقد شاهدت من أدرك مساوئ العنصرية. ومن أيقن من أهمية الإحترام، إضافة إلى الطموح والروح القتالية من أجل الأهداف التي هي موجودة بغزارة في عالم الرياضة. وقد شاهدت أخيراً: من عرف ويعرف كيف يفوز، وكيف يخسر.
قد اخترت أن يأخذ هذا الكتاب شكل المقالات، حتى يسهل على القارئ قراءته، فيسهل عليه التوقف حين يريد، ويسهل عليه القفز من مقال إلى مقال آخر أقرب إلى ذائقته وقناعته.
ولكي أختم هذه المقدمة، أقول: من هذا الكنز المعرفي الذي وجدته في عالم الرياضة ... قد جاء هذا الكتاب.
