يمثل هذا الكتاب كما يقول عنوانه: النحو المصفى، فقد بذل المؤلف جهدًا كبيرًا في تجميع مادة هذا الكتاب والحرص على خلوها من الحشو والتطويل وكذلك عمل ألا يكون فيه من الإخلال ما يضر، فجاء المحتوى بحق: نحو مصفى. ويبدأ المؤلف في القسم الأول بتمهيد لدراسة الجملتين الاسمية والفعلية، وهنا يسلط الضوء على الكلمة والكلام، والإعراب والبناء، والإعراب الأصلي والفرعي، والأسماء الستة، والمثنى والاسم الذي لا ينصرف، وجمع المذكر وغير ذلك. ثم يفرد القسم الثاني للحديث عن الجملة الاسمية بتفصيل، والقسم الثالث للحديث عن الجملة الفعلية، ويتناول في القسم الرابع ما يتعلق بالجملتين الاسمية والفعلية مثل حروف الجر والاضافة والتوابع الخمسة والنعت والتوكيد والعطف وغير ذلك، وفي القسم الأخير يقدم لنا دراسة لأبواب خاصة في النحو.
