أحمد سمير صحفي وكاتب مقالات مصري، من مواليد 1981، تخرج من كلية الآداب جامعة القاهرة عام 2003، وبدأ العمل الصحفي عام 2005 في جريدة الدستور، بدأ كتابة مقالات الرأي عام 2010 في موقع البديل الإلكتروني، ثم عمل كاتبًا صحفيًا في “بوابة المصري اليوم”، و“بوابة الشروق”.
صدر له كتابي “مانشيتات يوم القيامة”، و“أحمد 1981″، عن دار الشروق، في عام 2017 صدرت روايته الأولى "قريبا من البهجة" وهي الرواية التي فازت بجائزة ساويرس الثقافية عام 2019.
فاز بجائزة نقابة الصحفيين لأفضل مقال سياسي عام 2014، عن مقال: “من لم يتركونا نهرب سيتركونا نموت“، كما فاز بجائزة مصطفى الحسيني لأفضل مقال صحفي عام 2014 عن مقال: “أسوأ خمسين كتابًا قرأتهم في حياتي“، ثم فاز بجائزة نقابة الصحفيين لأفضل مقال سياسي عام 2015 عن مقال: “أسطورة التنين الأخير سلسلة ما وراء السجون“، كما فاز بجائزة نقابة الصحفيين للكتابة الساخرة عام 2018 عن مقال "مصر بتكسب..
قصة نجاح وتفوق وانتصار"، كما فاز بجائزة برنامج معكم مني الشاذلى لفضائية سي بي سي المصرية لأحسن كتاب عام 2015 عن "مانشيتات يوم القيامة".
