هذه الدراسة نضعها بين أيدي القراء الكرام وهي إحدى الردود المفعمة بالعلمية والأدلة العقلية والشرعية التي ردت على فكر محمد أركون وأثرها الإستشراقي في دراسة تحليلية نقدية وقفت مع مؤلفاته ونصوصه ناقدة ومحللة بنظر الباحث الفاحص الذي يبحث عن الحقيقية والدفاع عن المنهج الإسلامي الصحيح والرصين اللذين ينبع من الأصْلَين العظيمين الكتاب والسنّة ثم يتنقل مع مرور العلماء ونصوصهم في الدفاع عن عقيدة الإسلام.
إن الدراسات التي تناولت شخصية محمد أركون انقسموا إلى قسمين قسم من هذه الدراسات جاءت مؤيدة له ولمشروعه ودراسته للقرآن الكريم، وقسم آخر جاءت مناهضة وناقدة لهذا المنهج.
أما خطة البحث والتقسيم المُتبع في هذه الأطروحة فقد كانت على النحو الآتي: "المقدمة"، الفصل الأول: "التعريف بمفردات عنوان الأطروحة"، الفصل الثاني: التعريف بـ (محمد أركون) ومنهج النقد، الفصل الثالث: نماذج من القراءة الأركونية للقرآن الكريم.
