من العراق إلى الأردن ومنها إلى نيوزيلاندة، فاليابان، فلاوس في كمبوديا، وأخيراً إلى الأكوادور، حيث سيقيم ويدوّن يومياته في كتاب. مسار ليس لرحلة، ما قام به الشاعر العراقي صاحب هذه اليوميات، ولكنه مسار رحلة اللجوء بعيداً عن العراق الذي التهمته نار الحروب وعصفت به المآسي، فتشرد أبناؤه في كل جهة من العالم.
هذه اليوميات تتفتح بقارتها على فضاءات غير معهودة، فلم يحدث أن دوّن شاعر أو كاتب عربي معاصر يوميات عن مغامرته في تلك الأصقاع، يكتب الشاعر بعينيه وذاكرته وقلبه، يستعمل حواسه كلها في قراءة تجواله في الأكوادور، حيث العوالم الطبيعية والمناخية المختلفة عما عرف الرحالة العرب في رحلاتهم نحو أوروبا، أو أميركا الشمالية. هنا تتخذ الكتابة لها مسرى يرتقي بها إلى عوالم الأسطورة، حيث لا حدود بين الواقعي والمتخيل، وبين الأرضي والسماوي، ولا بين الأبيض والأسود، أو بين غيرهما من الأعراق التي قطنت البلاد يقتفي الشاعر، من دون أن يدري ربما، أثر مواطنه الياس حنا الموصلي الذي تجول في أميركا الجنوبية والوسطى في أواسط القرن 17، وعاش فترة من الزمن في الأكوادور، ونقل من هناك وقائع ومشاهد وخرافات وكتب عن المناظر الطبيعية وحياة السكان الأصليين، إلى جانب المستعمرين الإسبان الذين نهبوا أقاليم القارة وهيمنوا على ثرواتها وناسها.
الرحالة المعاصر، هنا، في هذه اليوميات الرائقة شاعر يتمايز عن مواطنه في إقباله على عوالم الإكوادوريين، ناقلاً للصور عبر حواسه وتداعياته وخواطره التي تراكمت وشكّلت ذخيرة المسافر. فهو لم يصل إلى هذه الديار البعيدة سائحاً، ولا باحثاً عن الثروة، وإنما وصلها لاجئاً وظرته إلى كل ما يُعرض له إنما هي نظرة شاعر، لا يجد فرقاً جوهرياً بين إنسانها وإنسان بلاده التي تركها وراءه تحترق.
يوميات مثيرة، كُتبت بلغة مقتصدة، تمكنت من نقل عالم سحري هو عالم أميركا اللاتينية، حيث تتداخل الأعراق التي اقتتلت في ما مضى لتعيد تشكيل نفسها في هوية الفاتح الإسباني.
وقد استحق عنها صاحبها، بامتياز، جائزة إبن بطوطة للرحلة المعاصرة في دورتها التاسعة للسنة 2013-2014.
