قد يقطب إنسان ما بين عينيه حينما يسمع عن الحب فى القرآن.. وقد يشيح بوجهه، وينأى بجانبه، ويحوقل ويستعيذ من الموضوع وصاحبه!! وهؤلاء قليل ما هم، بل هم من الندرة بمكان، لأن الذى واتاه الله حظاً من المعرفة والعلم، ونصيباً من الفهم والتذوق لنصوص الإسلام من أيات قرآنية وأحاديث محمدية تتضح أمامه الرؤية، ويعلم -فى يقين- أن الإسلام دين الحب وأن المؤمن لا يجد حلاوة الإيمان إلا إذا أحس حرارة الحب.
والحب فى الإسلام منهج له حدود.. وطريق.. ومعالم.. وقيود، ومخطط تربوى إلهى سما بالعواطف، وهذب الأخلاق وشذب الغرائز، وقدم لكل نفس ما يعصمها من الجنوح، وما يمنعها من الزلل والانحراف، وما يأخذ بيدها حتى تصير نفسا وضاءة مشرقة محبة محبوبة.. إن عالمنا اليوم الذى أوغل فى المادية، وانحدر إلى مهاوى القلق والأثرة والأنانية.. إن قلبه المكدود الذى يفيض بالحقد والضغن وألوان الكراهية.. إنه فى حاجة إلى جرعات محبة، ورشفات مودة تأسو الجراح وتغسل السخائم وتذيب الإحن وتزيل المحن، وتبدد الأثرة وتبيد الكره والأنانية. ولعل الإنسانية اليوم فى صراعها المحموم وتكالبها المادى وجراحها الدامية.. لعل لها فى المحبة الإسلامية ما يأخذ بيدها إلى آفاق من الأمن والأمان والإيمان، وأجواء من الإخاء والنقاء والوفاء، وبذا تعود للإنسانية حياتها الروحية التى فقدتها وافتقدتها من آماد طوال.
إن الحب بكل ما يحمله من معان، وبكل ما يشيعه من أمان واطمئنان، وبكل ما يشعه من رضا ومودة وسلام هو علاج للقلق المدنى.. وعلاج لإنسان المدنية.. إنسان العصر الحديث الذى فهم الحب على أنه حرية بلا حدود وانطلاق بلا قيود.. وفوضى بهيمية وإشباع غرائز حيوانية.. فانحدر وجرفه التيار إلى مهاوى من القلق والأنانية والاكتئاب والاضطراب.. يرنو إلى الخلاص.. ولا خلاص له إلا فى الحب.. حب الحق.. حب النور.. حب السلام، والله هو الحق، وهو النور، وهو السلام.. إن كتاب الله قد تحدث عن الحب وأشار إليه وأشاد به، وفى الصفحات التالية حديث القرآن عن الحب والود والمحبة والأحباب.
