كثر في هذه الأيام الحديث عن الطب البديل، والعلاج بأساليب استشفائية استخدمتها الحضارات القديمة، ومعها بعض الأغذية والأعشاب، وحتى لا يختلط الوهم بالواقع، والعلم بالخرافة رأت دار الفاروق أن تسهم في هذا المجال بمجموعة من الكتب التي تعتمد على المصادر العلمية الموثقة، فتقدم للناس المعلومة المفيدة التي لا تضر بَدَنَهم ولا تُزَيِّف وعيهم، ومنها هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا، والذي يعرض في إطناب لوسائل علاجيَّة بسيطة التطبيق آمنة الأعراض، تعد قديمة من ناحية التجربة العملية حديثة من ناحية الاكتشاف العلمي، ومن أهمها العلاج باستخدام حاسة اللمس وهو ما نسميه اليوم التدليك، والعلاج الانعكاسي الذي يعتمد على توافق الإشارت العصبية بين أعضاء الجسم السليمة والعليلة، والعلاج باليوجا الهندية المعتمد على الاسترخاء البدني والذهني، ثم العلاج بالليمون الحامض كعشب أثبت فاعليته في علاج كثير من الأمراض، وأخيرًا نظرة سريعة على الطب النبوي، وأشهر تطبيقاته، مع الإشارة إلى أن هذه الوسائل العلاجية استخدمتها الحضارات الماضية بأشكال وأساليب متفاوتة، وأدرك الكثير من أهلها مدى فاعليتها.
ويلزمنا أن نشير أنه لا استغناء عن الأدوية الكيماوية التي تملأ الصيدليات، إلا أن الوسائل العلاجية الشعبية التي أكد البحث العلمي نجاحها في العلاج، ستظل تمثل عاملا مساعدًا ومعضدًا للأدوية الصيدلية له أهميته وقيمته العلمية، لا سيما ما يزكيه ويشير به المتخصصون في هذا المجال.
