يضم هذا الكتاب مجموع خطب الشيخ العلامة "عبد الرحمن بن ناصر السعدي" في سائر العلوم والآداب والأخلاق وغيره، وقد كان يُلقيها أُسبوعيّاً من منبر الجامع الكبير في عُنَيْزَة من عام 1361هـ إلى سنة 1376هـ؛ لأنَّها جمعت مع إختصارها ووجازتها جودة ألفاظها، وإختصار جُملها، ووضوح معانيها، حتَّى لَيفهمَها العامِّيُّ، ويستفيد منها طالب العلم، ولما اشتملت عليه من تفقيه النَّاس بأُمور عباداتهم، ومُعاملاتهم، وأنكحتهم، وطلاقهم، وأيمانهم، وكفَّاراتهم، وآدابهم، وغير ذلك.
فكان يكتبها بحسب المُناسبات، ويُعالج بها مشاكل المُجتمع، ويتخوَّلُ النَّاس بالموعظة، بعد أن كان بعض النَّاس قبل ذلك يخطبون من خُطبٍ مطبوعةٍ قديماً، قد أكل الدَّهر عليها وشرب، حتَّى إنَّ بعضهم لما صعد المنبر ليخطب خُطبة العيد وجد فيها: الله أكبر تسعاً نسقاً، فقال: الله أكبر تسعاً نسقاً، ولم يعرف معنى: نسقاً.
وقد اهتمَّ بها فضيلة الدُّكتور "وليد بن مُحمَّد بن عبد الله العليُّ" أُستاذ الشَّريعة والدِّراسات الإسلاميَّة بجامعة الكُويت، وإمام وخطيب المسجد الكبير، فقام بجمعها وتصنيفها وتقريبها تمهيداً لنشرها؛ وعملٌ مثل هذا يُعْتَبَر من أفضل الأعمال الصَّالحة، ومن أهمِّ وسائل نشر العُلوم الشَّرعيَّة، ليعم نفعها لكُلِّ من يقرؤها أو يسمعها.
