تمتد الفترة الفاصلة بين تأسيس الجمعية الإسلامية الطبية ومجالس البحث والحوار المثبتة في هذا الكتاب إلى أكثر من تسعة عشر عاماً تبلورت خلالها الاجتماعات العلمية والتنظيمية للتعاون بين المؤمنين في الوسط الطبي، ومع النقابات الإسلامية المهنية الأخرى. ومن المحاضرين في هذه المجالس نذكر الدكتور بهشتي الذي امتازت محاضراته بالأسلوب الحواري البسيط الذي يدعو المستمع إلى التأمل والتعمق، وهذا ما يشعر المستمع بأنه ليس مجرد مستمع فقط وإنما هو مشارك فعال في الندوة أو المحاضرة، وله دور في بلورة الأفكار. وبالرجوع إلى أسلوب الدكتور بهشتي في عرض محاضراته نجد أنه يبدأ ما يقدم له بمناقشته للمفاهيم الشائعة المتداولة، وبعد ذلك يتقدم في البحث خطوة خطوة ليصل إلى قراءة تقود إلى تفسير تلك المفاهيم بالشكل المطلوب.
ولأهمية محاضرات هذا العالم العامل اعتنت "لجنة الهدى" بترجمة أربع محاضرات لهذا العالم, وضعتها في هذا الكتاب الذي نقلب صفحاته, ثلاثة منها ألقاها في الجمعية الإسلامية الطبية وفيها عالج موضوع الحق والباطل في جميع جوانبه, مفهومه, معياره, هدفية نظام الوجوب, طلب الحق, انتصار الحق على الباطل في رسائل النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم انتصار الحق على الباطل في الزور. أما المحاضرة الرابعة فكانت بعنوان "التسليم للحق" وهذه المحاضرة ألقاها الدكتور بهشتي في حضور أعضاء "الهيئة القرآنية" وهي تدخل في نطاق ما كان المحاضر يلقيه من محاضرات حول تفسير القرآن.
