إن دراسة "سارتر" لكى تكون متكاملة يجب ألا تهمل أى جانب من الجوانب. ولكن لما كان سارتر فيلسوفنا غزير الإنتاج, متعدد الجوانب, يجمع بين الأدب والنقد والفلسفة وعلم النفس, والسياسة,.. إلخ, فإنه يعز على الباحث دراسة كل هذه الجوانب مرة احدة, ولذا فإنه يضطر إلى دراسة أحد جوانبه, مع الإشارة إلى بقية الجوانب تلاشياً للنقص أو الوقوع فى النظرة الجزئية.
وقد إخترنا فى دراستنا "لسارتر" أن ندرس أفكاره فى الأدب والفن مع رصد تأثرها بالفكر الجمالى الماركسى بشكل خاص, وتأسساً على ما سبق فإننا رأينا حتى يكون البحث متكاملاً- من وجهة نظرنا- أن نتبع الخطة الأتية:
لفصل الأول: وقد جعلناه لدراسة فلسفة "سارتر" وذلك ليكون مساعداً فى فهم أفكار "سارتر" فى الأدب والفن.
أما الفصل الثانى: فقد كان بداية دراسة الأفكار الجمالية, وقد جعلناه لدراسة أراء "سارتر" المبكرة فى الفن مع إراتباطها بأفكاره السيكولوجية والتى جاءت فى كتابته "التخيل " و "المتخيل".
وفى الفصل الثالث: درسنا العلاقة بين الأدب والفن, وبين المجتمع والجمهور, فبدأنا بطرح السؤال التالى: هل توجد علاقة بين الأدب والفن وبين المجتمع؟ وإذا كانت هناك علاقة فما هى طبيعتها؟.
أما الفصل الرابع: فقد كان خاصاً بمشكلة الإلتزام, وهى من أهم المشكلات التى إشترك فى إثارتها "سارتر" مع الماركسيين, ولذا فقد درسناها دراسة تفصيلية من خلال أراء كل من الطرفين.
أما الفصل الخامس: فقد جعلناه لدراسة أهم أعمال "سارتر" الروائية والمسرحية, والدراسات النقدية, من أجل توضيح العلاقات بينها وبين أرائه النظرية من جهة وعلاقتها بالأراء الماركسية من جهة اخرى.
وتجئ الخاتمة بها خلاصة لما سبق دراسة ونتائج البحث.
