لا يخفى على أهل العلم ما لكتب التخريج من أهمية بالغة، ومرتبة جليلة على اختلاف تصنيفها، وتباين مقاصد مؤلفيها، فقد شرع جماعة من علماء الحديث في تخريج بعض الكتب الفهية والأصولية، وشمروا عن ساعد الجد، فخرجوا تلك الأحاديث من مظانها من كتب السنة المشرفة ودواوينها العامرة، مع بيان تعليل تلك الأحاديث وما طرقها من وهن وسقم، وذكر من صححها من أئمة هذا الشأن والفن، وتحرير مقام الخلاف فيها، والاعتناء بالزيادات في بعض طرق الحديث وما اشتملت عليه من فوائد تقوم عليها بعض الأحكام الشرعية، والدلالات الأصولية.
وإن من بين تلك الكتب التي خرجت كتاب "منهاج الوصول إلى علم الأصول" لناصر الدين البيضاوي، ولمكانة هذا الكتاب ومنزلته العليا عند العلماء والطلاب فقد أولي اهتماماً بالغاً من علماء الحديث، ولا سيما علماء الشافعية، فقد اعتنوا بتخريجه في كتب مستقلة، كما أنه قد شرحه وأزاح عن غامضه ومشكله وغير واحد من أهل العلم، فقد عمت فائدته من الناحية الأصولية والحديثية، وهذا ما تحظى به بعض المؤلفات حيث يكتب لها من الشيوع ما يجعلها منتشرة عند الناس عالمهم ونائشهم، وذلك ما بين تدريس له وتعليق عليه واستدراك لما قيد يفوت هذا وقد قام بتخريجه غير واحد من المحدثين منهم: العلامة سراج الدين عمر بن علي المعروف بابن النحوي، الشهير بابن الملقن. والحافظ: زين الدين عبد الرحين بن الحسين العراقي. والإمام العلامة: بدر الدين محمد بن عبد الله الزركشي المتوفي سنة (794هـ)، قد جمع كتاباً خرج فيه أحاديث كتاب منهاج الأصول للبيضاوي. وتخريج الحافظ العراقي لهذا الكتاب، هو تخريج موجز مختصر، ولم يطل الكلام فيه على الأحاديث، بل يخرج الحديث ويحكم عليه، وفي بعض الأحاديث تجده يحرر الكلام فيها ويبين حال بعض رواتها، ومما يعتذر به للحافظ العراقي في عدم الإطالة أنه قد ألف هذا التخريج بين الظهر والعصر كما ذكره عنه تلميذه الحافظ ابن حجر.
ولا عجب ولا غرو فالحافظ العراقي إمام بحر من أئمة هذا العلم وبحوره الزاخرة الذين حفظوه واعتنوا به، وأخذوا منه بنصيب وافر. وقد رأى "محمد العجمي" وجوب إخراج هذه الرسالة والتعليق عليها حسب الطاقة والمكنة.
