يدرك الكاتب تماماً حساسية موضوع هذا الكتاب، والتفتيش عن أثر لدين يراه البعض قديماً وبدائياً وشبه منقرض، في أديان كبرى تحتلّ اليوم واجهة الصدارة عدداً وأثراً وتأثيراً.
وإذا عدنا إلى مَثَل اللغة الأمّ وتعلّم لغة أخرى الآنف الذكر، فالمرء يألف لغته الأم، ويعشقُّها، فيخالها أجمل لغات الأرض، بمجرّد الإلفة هذه، وهذا لا يعني أن العربية أفضل من الفرنسية مثلاً، وأكثر بلاغة، ولا العكس، ولكن الإنسان لا ينفك يقارن ويفاضل، وكذا القول في الدين.
وهنا تحديداً سبب حساسية موضوع هذه الدراسة، فزرادشت (أو زارا) شخصية دينية محورية ومركزية بقيت مغيّبة عن الواجهة والدراسات والبحوث حقبة طويلة.
ولعلّ أول من ذكّر العالَم، ولا سيما الغرب، بهذا النبي المنسي كان نيتشه في مصنّفه الشهير هكذا تكلّم زرادشت، وذلك رغم الهوّة الساحقة التي تفصل بين مؤسّس الزرادشتية وزرادشت فيلسوف السوبرمان.
وما أن تنبّه العلماء إلى هذه الشخصية المركزية في علوم الأديان وتاريخها حتى توالت الإكتشافات المذهلة بشأن أثرها الحاسم في الديانات العالمية الخمس الكبرى، ولا سيما الإبراهيمية منها، فإيران من حيث موقعها الجغرافي والتاريخي كانت جسر عبور بين أديان الشرقين الأقصى والأوسط أي بين أديان العالم الخمسة الكبرى اليوم.
