لما كان العالم يتكون من زوجين الذكر والأنثى ولا بد أن يحصل بين الزوجين من خلاف قد يجل ويصغر، ولا تكاد تخلو أسرة من ذلك سنة الله في الخلق ولن تجد لسنة الله تبديلًا؛ وكانت الشريعة الإسلامية الحقة قد جعلت لكل من الزوجين الحق على الآخر وبينت ذلك أوضح بيان، فأعطت لكل جنس ما يناسبه.
ورفعت الشريعة شأن المرأة فوضعتها في مكانتها السامية واللائقة بها، فأعطتها حقوقها كاملة غير منقوصة.. وهي ما بينت في هذا البحث المتواضع المقدم للشباب والشابات ليكون كل منهما على معرفة بما يحق للمرأة في حياتها الزوجية وما قبلها وما بعدها جمعته من مراجع شتى في التفسير والحديث وشروحه، وكتب فقه المذاهب الإسلامية المشهورة، فإذا ما أراد القارئ الإطلاع على حكم وجد أقوال الأئمة فيه، والمعنى أنه في الفقه المقارن متخذًا منهج التاريخ المذهبي الأول مذهب أبي حنيفة النعمان ثم إمام دار الهجرة مالك بن أنس ثم أبي عبد الله محمد بن إدريس الشافعي ثم مذهب الإمام أحمد بن حنبل ثم مذهب الظاهرية رحمهم الله جميعًا.
وقد جعلت البحث في أربعة أبواب: الباب الأول في حقوقها قبل الزواج، الباب الثاني فهو في حقوقها في مسيرة الحياة الزوجية، أما الباب الثالث فهو في حقوق الزوجة بعد الحياة الزوجية، أما الباب الرابع والأخير فهو في حقوق لها متفرقة وفيه عشرة مطالب وخاتمة.
