تفسير للقران الكريم غير مختص بفرع من فروع التفسير كالفقه أو الأثر أو غيرها. بل جاء شاملاً لها جميعاً مما يجعل فائدته عظيمة جليلة خاصة مع سلاسة أسلوبه وغزارة علمه.
والمؤلف هو الشيخ الأكمل، بيهقي الوقت، علم الهدى، مولانا القاضي محمد ثناء الله العثماني الحنفي المظهري النقشبندي الفاني فتي. ولد في سنة ثلاث وأربعين بعد ألف ومائة (1143هـ) من الهجرة أو قبله بستة أو سنتين بفاني فت، ونشأ بها فحفظ القرآن الكريم وعمره سبع سنين، واشتغل بعده بأخذ العلوم النقلية و العقلية، فتبحر فيها، ثم ارتحل إلى لدهلي، فلزم العلامة المحدث الدهلوي، فسمع الحديث منه بتمامه وكماله وتفقه فيه. وأخذ الطريقة العالية النقشبندية أولاً من شيخ الشيوخ خواجة محمد عابد السنامي، ثم انسلك بخدمة الشيخ ميرزا جانجانان مظهر وأخذ منه الطريقة الأحمدية بكمالها.
ثم رجع إلى وطنه وأقام به، وأفنى عمره في نشر العلوم وفصل الخصومات، وإفتاء الأسئلة. وألف كتباً عديدة في التفسير والفقه وغيرها تجاوز عددها الثلاثين. ذكر إسماعيل باشا في "هدية العارفين" منها: 1-ما لا بد منه. في الفقه. 2-تفسير المظهري (وهو الذي بين أيدينا).
