إن هذه الدراسة محاولة لرصد أثر الخطاب الإعلامي للثورة الإيرانية على العلاقات الإيرانية الخارجية وخاصة علاقاتها بالدول الخليجية، لإظهار مدى أثرها، خاصة على الحضارتين الفارسية والعربية والتي أثرت كل منها على الأخرى تأثيراً كبيراً، ومحاولة أخرى لدراسة واقعية بلا تعصب لهذه الثورة، التي ما زال ينظر إليها الكثير في العالم العربي بشئ من الخوف والرهبة، وأثرها حضارياً وفكرياً على العالم العربي، والتي ما زال بعض الشيعة يعتقدون باستحالة التقارب مع أصحاب المذهب السنى، كما أثرت أسس الإمامة الإثنى عشرية السائدة في إيران تأثيراً واضحاً على الخطاب الإعلامي.
أما منهج الدراسة هو المنهج التاريخي التحليلي، وذلك لرصد وتحليل أثر الخطاب الإعلامي للثورة الإيرانية على دول الخليج العربي وعلاقتها بإيران وأثر ذلك في التباين الحضاري الفارسي العربي.
وقد تحدث الفصل الأول، عن مقومات الحضارة الفارسية (الشيعية) من حيث المذهب الشيعي، والمؤسسة الدينية الإيرانية. ثم تناول الفصل الثاني مقومات الحضارة العربية الإسلامية (السنية) من حيث الشريعة الإسلامية، واللغة العربية والتعليم الإسلامي. ثم تحدث الفصل الثالث عن الخطاب الإعلامي الإيراني من حيث مقوماته وأركانه ووسائله وتطوره قبل الثورة وبعدها. ثم جاء الفصل الرابع ليستعرض أثر الخطاب الإعلامي للثورة الإيرانية على علاقتها مع أقطار الخليج العربي في النواحي السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية والدينية. وقد إنتهت الدراسة بخاتمة تضمنت أهم ما وصل إليه الباحث من نتائج وتوصيات، وعدة ملاحق، وقائمة بأهم المصادر والمراجع.
