تحتل شخصية عبد الله النديم مكانة عليا في تاريخ الثورة العرابية، فلقد اشربت نفسه روح الثورة منذ نشأته الأولى، واعتنق الحرية وتمسك بها طول حياته، فكان من روادها ومن شهدائها الأبطال، واحتمل في سبيل ذلك ما احتمل من الشدائد والمتاعب، ونفاه الإحتلال وأبعده عن البلاد، فظل رغم النفي والغربة مدافعاً عن حرية البلاد وكرامتها وهو الزعيم الوحيد بين زعماء الثورة العرابية الذي استمر في جهاده السياسي ونضاله عن مصر في عهد الإحتلال، وهي ميزة كبرى انفرد بها دون بقية الزعماء الذين أثرت فيهم الهزيمة فوهنت لها روحهم المعنوية، أما النديم فقد ظل على عهده واستمر يجاهد ويناضل حتى آخر نسمة من حياته، وهذا يدلك على مبلغ نمو نفسه وقوة شخصيته.
ولقد وفاه الأستاذ الاديب نجيب توفيق حقه من التقدير والتكريم في كتابه القيم (عبد الله النديم خطيب الثورة العرابية) فأرخ له تاريخاً صادفاً نابضاً بالحياة، وتتبعه في كافة مراحل حياته في نشأته الأولى، ثم في مناصرته للحرية وانضمامه إلى الثورة العرابية ودفاعه عنها، ثم في إخلاصه لها بعد إخاقها واستمراره على كفاح الإحتلال ومحاربته.
