في هذا الكتاب يتبع المؤلف منهجا خاصا به، وهو محاولة دراسة أي موضوع لغويا وتاريخيا، والربط بين ما كان عليه في القديم، ثم وضعه الحالي؛ فمثلا إذا تناول موضوع الاحتفال بعيد من الأعياد عند الإيرانيين فلا بد من الحديث أولا عن المصطلح اللغوي ودلالته في اللغة الفارسية، ثم كيف كان الإيرانيون يحتفلون به قديما، وتطور هذا الاحتفال وما طرأ عليه، ثم كيفية الاحتفال به في العصر الحديث والمقارنة بين الماضي والحاضر. وعادة ما يقوم بتسليط الضوء على العلاقات الثقافية بين مصر وإيران، ودور مصر في الحفاظ على كثير من التراث الإيراني في متاحفها ومكتباتها. ويتضح من قراءة هذا الكتاب أنه يحرص على الربط بين الأخبار التي تطالعنا في الصحف عن إيران وتراثها ومناسباتها المختلفة وبين المعلومات المتاحة حول الموضوع نفسه بصورة علمية وموثقة، وكتابة أبحاث تجلي كثيرا من غموض هذه الموضوعات، ومن ذلك ما ذكرته الصحف حول المخطوطات الفارسية في مصر وتسجيلها ضمن سجل ذاكرة العالم، وهو العمل الذي أشرفت عليه هيئة اليونسكو. ولا شك أن دراسة ثقافة شعب من الشعوب إنما تتيح فرصة كبيرة للتعرف عليه، وتسهل طرق التعامل معه، ومخاطبته بالأسلوب الذي يناسبه، ونحن في عالمنا العربي أحوج ما نكون إلى مثل هذه المؤلفات عن شعوب العالم اجمع بصفة عامة، وعن الشعوب الإسلامية والشعوب المجاورة لنا على وجه الخصوص، حتى تزداد معرفتنا بهم وتواصلنا معهم.
